Experimental Study on the Pullout Resistance of Smooth Steel Strip Reinforcement with Transverse Members

This paper presents an experimental study on the pullout resistance of a newly improved reinforcement. The applied reinforcement was smooth steel strip with transverse members used to improve pullout-resistance problems and bearing were evaluated using results large-scale tests. evaluation result confirmed that about 33–66% total resistance, it had evenly distributed friction resistance. bond coefficient, considering interference effect, gradually converged when normal stress higher than certain value. increment effect is caused by member stress. In reinforcement, number can be predicted relationship between bearing-resistance coefficient due stress, which as reasonable prediction method.
